For some new employees at Sparklean, speed is one of the biggest challenges. But that’s ok!

We can teach you how to be faster and more efficient.

We’re so glad for employees who have an eye for details. That’s a harder thing to teach.

This section is just some quick tips about how to increase your efficiency and speed in cleaning. I apologize that this section of the training isn’t very pretty or sexy! ;)

-prepare your space, pick up as much as you can as quickly as you can

-turn on lights

-get ALL the equipment you need before going to the room you’re cleaning next. Trips across the house to grab one thing really waste time.

-always use the same system for going around the room. develop a habit and a pattern in your brain so that you don’t have to think about the system eventually.

-chose the correct product and pressure so that you only have to touch a surface once. This one is Katie’s personal favorite! If you’re cleaning a surface by wiping it 5-6 times and the result is perfection, that’s fine for your own home when you’re cleaning and drinking wine ;) But here there are time constraints because we charge clients by the hour. If find that you’re cleaning surfaces over and over to get them clean, you’ll be amazed at how much time you save by figuring out how to do it just one pass.

-set timers for yourself for reach room

-ask your partner how long you should spend on each room

-don't do the super details until you know you actually have enough time. you can always go back

Houses vary but this is a good guideline to follow. We don't want anyone to feel like they're going to pass out but everyone should be sweating during the workday. Bring a water bottle and put your hair up or wear a sweat band to make it less uncomfortable. Here are some time guidelines to follow

PLEASE NOTE THE TIMES INCLUDE PREPPING,VACUUMING,STAGING AND MOPPING
