COMPENSATION  

Cleaning Hours 

  • Training Pay $16.50/hr or $17.50/hr based on your skills. This should only take 1-3 weeks at most. Some even skip right to $19/hr if they have experience and are successful in the training program.

  • Cleaner $19.00/hr

  • Lead Cleaner +$1/hr

  • Solo Cleaner +$1hr after Lead, or +$2/hr after Cleaner 

  • 1-3% Raises (performance based) every 6 months at your Review with all positions

Non- Cleaning/Drive Hours 

  • Drive time and non-cleaning time are paid at half of your current hourly rate, or a minimum of $11.41/hr which is equivalent to $2/hr on top of your cleaning rate 

Mileage Reimbursement 

  • Mileage reimbursement at 58.5 cents per mile which is equivalent to $2/hr on top of your cleaning rate 

Elite Cleaner bonus

  • Each pay period, you have the opportunity to earn your full regular rate during all non cleaning time instead of minimum wage. This adds approximately another $1.75 to your cleaning rate.

TIPS

  • We see about $50-$150 in tips on each employee’s paycheck every 2 weeks.

The combined 5 elements of pay above equal a starting pay of:

  • $24.75/hr for the 32-35 hours per week you’re cleaning. Or

  • $941 per week / $1,882 per paycheck / $4,000 per month / $48,000 per year

Benefits   

Uniforms  - 4 shirts and 1 sweatshirt/zip up with Sparklean logo and 1 water bottle (at 60 days of employment) 

Jacket - Personalized winter jacket (at one year of employment) 

 

Gratuity - Any tips that clients give you must be split between you and whomever else you are cleaning with that day at that home. Some tips are composed of cash directly from the client, while some will show up on your paycheck because the client paid with a credit card.  

 

Semi-Annual Bonus - A bonus based on a percentage (how many years you’ve worked at Sparklean) multiplied by your total wages for that half of the year, may be given twice per year starting at your 6 month anniversary with the company  

 

Employee Referral Bonus - A $2000 referral bonus will be given to any employee who refers another employee. This bonus is paid out $500 at the start of the new person’s employment, then $300 every other month until their 1 year anniversary.  

 

PTO (Sick and Safe Leave) - Paid time off is accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours you work and will be displayed on your paystub (approximately 2 weeks per year if you are working full time). You can use it as soon as you accrue it. Or save it up for a big trip!

 

401-K – As soon as your 1st day of employment you may start contributing to a 401-K retirement savings plan through Edward Jones. You may contribute a percentage of your paycheck or a specific dollar amount. Sparklean will match up to 3% of your salary after you have been an employee for 120 days.
