Elite Cleaner Bonus
We’re so excited that you’re here and that you’re ready to do an amazing job for our clients!
For employees who are doing a really stellar job in all aspects of this job, there is a special bonus available.
If you’re done with training, and you are earning the full cleaning rate ($19/hr as of 6/25/26), you are eligible to earn this bonus. You can earn this bonus every 2 weeks. Meaning, we’ll evaluate your performance in each pay period to see if you’ve met the requirements. We hope that this is an easy to strive for goal with tangible short term benefits!
The bonus is the full cleaning rate ALL day, instead of the lower (usually minimum wage) rate during office and drive time.
Here’s the breakdown of how much that means.
If you’re working 5 days per week, you’ll have about 16 hours of drive time on average per paycheck.
At $11.41/hr that’s $182.56 total per paycheck.
If you earn the bonus, you’ll be making at least $19/hr for those 16 hours, which equals $304.
That’s an increase of $121.44 per paycheck
If you have on average 64 cleaning hours per paycheck, that’s an increase of $1.90/hr
This will be more if you’re at a higher rate for your cleaning hours (if you’ve had a review/raise, or a Lead promotion)
And finally, here are the criteria each pay period for earning this bonus
1) Receive only positive reviews from clients.
Here’s the form that clients use to review your work https://forms.gle/ytQaSLeEgMNbLNCb7
Your work is rated on a scale from 1-10. And 8s, 9s, and 10s are considered positive.
You will need to write a note in each client appointment about who did which area of the house, so that when clients rate your work, we know who was responsible for each area. Please ask a manager if you don’t know how to leave a note in an appointment.
2) Receive only positive reviews from your teammates.
Here’s the daily assessment form that we use. You’ll fill this out for your teammates, and they’ll fill it out for you. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5eylQv3z-AYKg757Ik__mikSSNYGIiMZ7k0e3-l9PlWvufQ/viewform?embedded=true
You should receive scores above 85% on this form.
3) This year we are starting to do a few “drop ins.” Kind of like an inspection. This is where a manager will stop by a client’s house right at the end of the scheduled time frame for cleaning. They’ll do a walk through and make sure that things are cleaned to the Sparklean expectations and standards. You’ll receive a pass or fail on this. To earn the bonus, all dropins for that pay period need to be passed.
4) To earn the bonus for the pay period, you need to have zero breakages at client homes.
5) Punctuality. Each day, your starting clock in needs to be before the scheduled time (or before the 5 minute grace period).
For instance, you’ll need to clock in to the office by 8:20am (8:21 is late)
And to houses by 9:05 (9:06 is late)
6) Absences. You’ll need to have zero unexcused absences (i.e. sick days, or call outs, or instances of needing to leave the shift early, or show up late) in a pay period.
7) Communication. You’ll need to add an emoji to each manager message in the all staff chat by the end of your next shift, so that we know you read it. We have a fairly large team now, and getting info to each person can be difficult if we can’t use the All Staff Chat. We need to know that you are getting that info.
Please take time at the beginning of each shift to catch up on messages since the last time you worked. If you only work a few days per week, you might have to scroll back a bit. But it’s very important you do this.
You may clock in to Non Cleaning Time (NCT) up to 15-20 minutes early (for instance, get to the office at 8am, or to a house by 8:45am) and catch up on messages then. We’re not asking you to do this off the clock. At the end of your shift is fine too. Just clock out of the house you’re cleaning, then spend some time catching up on messages, then clock out of NCT. The end of your shift should also be used to fill out the assessment for your teammate so that you can get paid for that time.
8) Continuing Education. Most weeks we’ll have some sort of training video, quiz, or meeting that will help you be an excellent cleaner. Completing these by the time asked will be a requirement of the Elite Cleaner Bonus
9) Displaying our company values in every interaction. The Sparklean values of KINDNESS, BRAVERY, UNITY, RESPONSIBILITY are the core of who we are. These values should be evident in your communication and work.
Thank you so much for being here! I know that these are things you’re already doing! I’m so excited to spend some extra time tracking these important elements and rewarding you for doing a great job!
Please let me know if you have questions or thoughts about this bonus.
