Thank you for taking this quiz! Here is the "answer key" for the Bathroom Cleaning Quiz. Please note, there might be information in the answers here that wasn't information in the training material. Please use both this and the info on our website to learn as much as you can. I'd love to hear from you if there's any clarification you need. I'm always adapting and improving our training material. These procedures and protocols should be followed, unless you're given different directions by a manager.
Which equipment should you take with you to clean the bathroom?: The caddy, 1 Ecloth, 1 Polish, and 2 yellow rags
What should you clean first in the bathroom and why?: The mirror and any windows so that the Ecloth and Polish cloth are most clean and dry and work best.
In your opinion and experience, is it important to clean the toilet, vanity, and tub in a certain order?: I PREFER to clean the hardest/grossest thing first just for my own motivation and to get the worst thing done quickly. BUT if clean a gross tub is going to get the Ecloth super dirty and make it hard to clean the vanity well, then do the vanity first. Or just use a scrub brush/pad on the dirtiest part.
Are there certain tools/brushes that should only be used in certain parts of the bathroom? Why?: The toilet brush, the under toilet lip brush, pumice stone, flat scrub brush with handle.
List as many things as you can remember that have to do with "staging" the bathroom.: Tuck the shower curtain in the tub, hang the bath mat on the edge of the tub, close the toilet lid, fold/hang towels super neatly, set all bottles neatly on the counter with labels facing out.
Is scrubbing whirlpool jets a standard or a thorough item?: Thorough
Which rag do you use for the toilet? And which one for the bathroom floor?: Yellow. Also yellow. Try to use a new yellow for the floor so that you're not spreading toilet germs to the floor. But if you don't have enough yellow rags, then fold the toilet yellow so that the part you just used on the toilet is facing inside the fold, essentially using the other side of the cloth for the floor.
What should you do if you're done with all the bathrooms and your partner is still vacuuming?: Start mopping. (If you're cleaning average houses, and you both are keeping the same pace, then you'll likely be mopping every other house. If you're mopping every house, you might be moving too quickly and missing details. And if you're never mopping, then you might need to pick up the pace).
What should you not do with a hot lightbulb? What can happen?: Touch it with your bare hands or with a wet cloth. It can burn you or explode. Turn the light off, wait until it's cool in order to clean it.
